About Dr. Chen

All my years of practice have continued to inform my growth as a Psychiatrist and as a certified TEAM-CBT therapist. Many things have changed since I graduated from my training program at University of Texas Health Science center at Tyler. Much of that experience involved high risk cases in both hospital and clinic settings with some of the most severe and rewarding cases I’ve had the pleasure to work with and learn to heal. These days, I do something different daily knowing that there are always answers to be found and more understanding to seek.

The one thing that hasn’t changed has been my dedication to helping people fully recover from their negative moods and problems. While medications are a great tool, they rarely got people 100% of what they wanted to achieve. I was very fortunate to discover the power of therapy and self-help first in my life and then in the lives of my patients.

Having struggled with multiple anxiety disorders, perfectionism, and occasional bouts of depression and loneliness for 10 years, I know how miserable these conditions can be. That’s why they’re some of my favorite issues to treat because in addition to knowing how bad they can be, I can also show you the way out of these traps. I’d very much look forward to helping you heal and to overcoming the negative symptoms that defeat you.
